Jip's Contributions to the Mirror Project
Note: the mirror project is a now-historic collection of self-reflection pictures taken by a community of amateur photographers.

Vienna, Austria
Black, Orange, and Red
This picture has been taken in an Italian bar in Vienna, next to the Belvedere. I was sitting there taking a drink waiting for a sexy little girl to come and join ;-)

Vertical Vertigo
The picture has been taken in the Vienna Renaissance Hotel elevator. The reflection occurs in the elevator roof mirror. I am taking the picture from the elevator floor. When looking at this picture, I feel some kind of Vertical Vertigo. Where is my real self !?!

Daredevil is now taken
After my breakfast, I dressed up and was ready to go to work. Daredevil, my blue persian kitten, decided to do something to deserve his name again, and jumped into the air onto my shoulder. Good fortune for the mirror project: my camera was in my pocket. Snap Daredevil: you're taken ! As the policeman says in the movie : "there is no proof or evidence that Daredevil ever exists". Sorry DD, now there is one ;-)

I'm on TV !
My dream came true: being on TV! I bless the reflection of this black screen for realizing my wish ... :)

Hospital Room
Shocker is back
In the mirror of my hospital room where I am spending the night to have my sleep monitored, I appear wrapped into curious artifacts that make me look like the movie character Shocker. My head is wrapped into a white net to keep electrodes in place. White sticking captors cover my head, and my chest. A red plastic moustache records my snoring. A transparent tube assists my breath. Plastic belts measure my chest breathing movements. Finally, a huge set of electric wires connect everything to a central recording device. Zap! I Shocker do run away through the power socket ;-)

Hospital Room
100% pure natural proboscis
It is amazing how many reflection areas can be found in a hospital room ... and how funny some can be! This one is located on a bedside table. On this picture, it looks like the steel handle is part of my nose, or is somehow connected to it, but in spite of the fact that I spent some time in the hospital, I swear that my nose is totally free of any artificial implant ;o)

Clear face in losange
This picture is taken in the losange-shaped mirror of a living-room cupboard door. Nothing really special happens to my face, and this is actually my point in submitting this picture: after getting a persian cat, a black TV, and a steel handle through my face, I want to show myself clear to the public. So no, I'm not an alien !! Disappointed ? :-)

The eternal mirror door again.
Everytime I have to go out, my eyes cross this image in the mirror door. Might I like it one day, or should I ask forever the world to love it ? Mmmmh, "autosatisfecit" the Romans used to say. I'm gonna learn ...

Enamel ghost
When visiting the Schoenbrunn castle, I missed the oh-so-exclusive reflection picture from the famous concert room -- the one in which Mozart gave his firt concert in front of the Hasburg emperor. Amazed by the pretigious place I was stading in, I just did not think about the mirror project in time. Horror, I could not even turn back. I was feeling sooo disappointed. Fortunately, these enamel plates allowed me to shoot a nice reflection picture of myself. Souvenir from inside the castle. Mmmm, I look like a ghost ... boo !!

In the tumble dryer :-)
Drying long hair is much more easier in a tumble dryer. You should try! To give you a glimpse of how it feels to be in there, I took the experience with the "7,very-dry" program. Look at the result on the left. It looks really amazing, doesn't it ? I can't tell you how it feels; damn, it is oh so great ! I feel a bit stretched though ... ;-)

Leonidas is back !
This picture is taken at the entrance of the Leonidas shop. Leonidas is a Belgian brand of Belgian chocolate. The brand name is taken from the famous Greek hero Leonidas, who led the Greek army to many victories in the first millenium. I do feel a bit like hero Leonidas now :-)
